Ordering information:
Prints can be ordered online through the PayPal shopping cart and paid securely with credit card or using your PayPal account. Orders can also be taken over the phone or e-mail. Prints can be ordered in a variety of sizes and options using the drop down menu feature. Orders usually ship within 2 weeks, many times sooner. There is a money back guarantee (minus shipping) if you are not completely satisfied with your print! MN residents pay 6.5% sales tax.
The "Step Up" program! If you enjoy your print so much that you would like to 'step up' to a larger size of the same image, 50% of the cost of the smaller print will be credited to the larger one's price and, of course, you get to keep the smaller one (it would make a great gift or a nice addition to the cabin!)
There are 2 different types of prints that can be ordered: Giclee and glossy. Both do uses a digital process for printing since either digital capture or scanning film yeild far greater lattitude in optimizing images.
Giclee printing is inkjet printing using pigment ink on heavyweight archival matte papers which significantly increases the life of the print over other inkjet processes and optical printing techniques.
Glossy printing is an optical printing process closer to traditional film printing. Digital files are optically recorded on normal light sensitive photographic paper which is then chemically processed the same way prints have been made in commercial labs for decades.
Special orders can be accomodated! If you would like a special crop size, matte finish on "glossy" prints, even a color image converted to black and white, just call or e-mail and we can work out all of the details! Extra costs for special handling usually don't apply, but may be added depending on the order.
One last note: Sizes listed have been rounded to the nearest inch and could vary up to 1/2 inch for each dimention. If the actual measurements are critical (to fit an already cut window mat, for example,) call or e-mail and we can give you the actual dimentions, or crop slightly to fit your needs exactly!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, call or e-mail and we would be glad to take care of you!
About HBR:
Owner and photographer Brian Rauvola started HBR Studios in his apartment in 1994, and later in a modest studio in Canal Park, Duluth, MN. Operating as a portrait/wedding studio (plus photojournalism for the local newspaper), HBR Studios moved to Two Harbors in September of 1997 and remained there operating until October of 2005. Although the Studio was successful, it was always Brian's goal to do commercial work and personal artwork. With the studio completely equipped and out of debt, the decision was made to jump into the unknown realm of "freelance" photographer for a time while building a commercial portfolio. Brian still does photojournalism, where his 'professional' career really started. He shoots for the Lake County News Chronicle in Two Harbors, MN. Brian uses digital SLR up to 4x5 large format film to capture the many special images seen on this site and its 'sister' site Suz's Snaps."I have both the latest in digital equipment, plus the old-fashioned-not-even-any-electronics-at all cameras as well!" he likes to say. Brian is partial to techniques like night photography, pinhole, black and white, studio still life images, abstracts, and more. Come back to see more of these examples, plus all of the nature scenics, flora, and fawna captured in the Arrowhead of Minnesota as well as in his travels.
